Pleasure Rocks

Pleasure Rocks is born during a residency in 2018 and is an artistic collaboration with Titta C. Raccagni and Barbara Stimoli on their long project Pornopoetica.

The title Pleasure Rocks is therefore a play on words that wants to underline the importance of re-thinking pleasure as a form of struggle and resilience.

The idea of pleasure in Pleasure Rocks evolved during the process.

The rock from object became subject, body, partner of exploration, turning the research into experimentation on/with matter and gradually shaping the time of experiencing pleasure.

It is the deconstruction of anthropocentric pleasure.

Due the interaction of different art media, Pleasure Rocks’ research produced a publication (5,6), an exhibition with fine art prints (1), a workshop and a performative installation.
